Volunteer with Centaine Support Services

Woman sitting at piano keyboardVolunteers can make such a difference in the quality of life for the children and adults we support, and our volunteers tell us their volunteer works makes a difference in their own quality of life too!  Volunteering is a productive and rewarding way to connect and contribute to the well-being of your community.

The reasons that attract individuals to share their time and skills are many and varied. Some of the benefits you can expect are meeting new people and having fun, being a valued member of one of our teams which support adults with disabilities or children and youth with special needs and gaining satisfaction knowing that you made a difference in someone’s life.

How to become a volunteer

We will ask you to provide two references, a clear Criminal Record Check (no cost) and a clear T.B test (no cost).  Once we have reviewed your application, we will invite you to meet with us and talk about your interests and possible volunteer opportunities.

We provide our volunteers with an extensive orientation.  Centaine Support Services Inc. also offers practicum placements to students in various programs including Camosun College Community Support and Education Assistant program, Nursing and other related human service fields.
